Abstracts
On Thursday 18 March 2027, during PKUCon day 1, a Young Contributors session including a guided poster tour and oral presentations will be organised. Please refer to the Abstract Submission Rules at the end of this page for more information.
Submission eligibility and deadline
Abstracts may be submitted by academic, clinical and industry-based authors and will be evaluated according to the same scientific criteria, irrespective of sponsorship status. However, only Young Contributors are eligible for oral presentation selection. To be eligible for oral presentation (Young Contributor), the presenting author must be under 40 years of age on 18 March 2027, or be currently undertaking, or within five years of completing, specialist training, a PhD, residency, fellowship or another relevant professional qualification. The presenting author must declare eligibility in their submission email.
Abstracts must be submitted to PKUCon@issecam.org by 15 January 2027, 8 PM GMT. The abstracts will be reviewed and selected by the Presidents.
A submitted abstract may be replaced by a revised version until the submission deadline. No changes will be permitted after 15 January 2027. Abstracts submitted after the deadline will be considered ineligible.
The presenting author must be listed first and must be the author that submits the abstract. Authors should indicate either “oral consideration” or “poster only” in the submission email. Abstracts selected for oral presentation must also be displayed as posters.
An email on the acceptance or rejection of your abstract for oral or poster presentation will be sent to the presenting author subsequent to the review process, by 29 January 2027. The Presidents will select a total of 6 abstracts for oral presentation. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation may still be considered for poster presentation.
Rising Minds Award
The PKUCon Rising Minds Award will be assigned to the best Young Contributor oral presentation and will be decided at PKUCon 2027, through 70% Scientific Jury scoring and 30% audience voting. The award includes an official certificate, a €1,000 cash prize and a complimentary registration for the next PKUCon edition.
The €1,000 cash prize is personally funded by Dr Valentina Rovelli in memory of her father, honouring his strength and perseverance.
